R&B singer Solange Knowles plans to release her sophomore album entitled Sol-Angel on August 26th. The album will feature guest appearances from Cee-Lo, Pharrell, Lil Wayne, Bilal, Estelle and Marsha Ambrosious. She will also have a song produced by Raphael Saddiq on the album.
With all of these guest appearances the album may have some potential, but I am still waiting to see true talent come from this singer versus her riding in the shadow of her sister.

Solange has really grown up..got pregnant, married, and divorced..sort of like the junior Beyonce..actually she seems to be the link between Kelly and Beyonce…Kelly is more natural with her look and Bey is kind of over the top…I did’nt peep Solo Star…but I know that she filled in when Farrah and Latoya left Destiny’s Child..she sung background and knew their dances but can she hold it down…her pops is a top music exec..and Bey is her own franchise…anybody can get the right producers and guest stars for the money that the Knowles family got…the bottom line is can she deliver the goods..by herself on stage and in the studio..can she write her own songs?

Solange has written a lot of songs. She is a better songwriter than she is a singer. Solange has written songs for Destiny Child and songs from Kelly’s recent release. I don’t know if she can deliver on stage but she can def deliver when it comes to writing. Check the credits…you’ll see her name.
