Here is N*E*R*D first single “Everyone Nose”. It took me a few listens before this song became one of my faves, but the hook is pretty catchy. If you have not heard it yet, check out the video below. Earlier this week, MMIM posted the remix with Kanye, Lupe Fiasco and Pusha T. NERD’s new album, Seeing Sounds hits shelves June 10.

Gnarls Barkley is known for their deep lyrics and hidden meanings in their songs. One song in particular is “The Boogie Monster” from their debut album “St.Elsewhere.” Listen to the lyrics below and let MMIM know what you think these talented artists are trying to express.
“I’ve got a monster in my closet, someone’s underneath my bed. The wind is knocking at my window. I’d kill it but it’s already dead…It waits ’til the midnight hour to come, to torture me for the wrong I’ve done. It just sits there and stares me and it won’t let me get any sleep.”

This is the second single from their latest album, The Odd Couple. The video was filmed in Jamaica and even though Gnarls Barkley does not make an appearance in their own video, the kids dancing in the street hype it up enough. The song is called “Going On.” Enjoy!

Warner Music Group (home to such artists as T.I., Gnarls Barkley, and Diddy just to name a few) will be the first major record label to test “variable pricing”. The “variable pricing” program will allow consumers to pay what they want for music in digital format. Warner Music Group recently noticed a decline in their stock (of $9 per share) in November and with digital albums becoming more popular, WMG thought it would be a good idea to test variable pricing.
Warner Music Group is only allowing the test for a limited time. Retailers that are participating in the program are not being announced at this time.
I think this will be more favorable for the consumer since we know our likes and dislikes. Allowing us to regulate the price we pay for an album is showing the record labels how much we value the artist and their music.
