A little while back, MMIM did a feature on artists that we would like to see make a come back. Well part of our requests have been answered with R&B singer D’Angelo. D’Angelo has not released an album since 2000, where his song “Untitled: How Does it Feel” had all of the fellows hating and all of the ladies loving him when he released that video. And of course we cannot forget his remake of “Cruisin” and his ode to “Brown Sugar” from his first studio album.
According to Billboard.com, J Records purchased D’Angelo’s contract from Virgin Records in 2005 and he is currently working on his third studio album that will feature colloborations from Raphael Saadiq and John Mayer. He is slated to release a single later on this year and we looking forward to it!
