“Tired of undeserved fame.”
-Far Away, Kindred the Family Soul
Husband and wife duo, Kindred the Family Soul, isn’t the only artist(s) that are tired of not getting the recognition that they deserve. There are plenty more artists, some are our absolute favorites, that cannot get the respect in this industry.
MMIM wants to know what artists would you love to see get the fame and respect that they deserve?

Ludacris has received some crucial criticism over the lyrics of his new political track, “Politics: Obama is Here” from a mixtape. Unfortunately, in keeping up with the media’s routine, Obama is catching some heat in the process:
Through his campaign team, Senator Obama released a statement condemning the song as offensive and typical of much of Hip-Hop’s current lyrical content. “As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” explained spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
Here is Fox News AKA Sly Fox take on the Ludacris track.

Mr. West is the next celebrity in line to have his own reality show. The untitled series will air on HBO and will follow the famous Kanye West around in the life of his hectic schedule. According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO is still looking for writers on this project (I never knew reality shows had writers).
“We need to figure out how to capture Kanye in the right way.” Anything that allows him to gas on about his many talents should do the trick.

Remember earlier this month we posted that Timbaland will be producing Jay-Z next album in its entirety? Well, Rolling Stone magazine had a chance to sit down and talk to Jay-Z at his recent show in British Columbia. And one of the topics that was addressed was Timbo’s claim that he would produce Jay’s next album.
“You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature,” Jay said. “I’m a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction.”
Regardless, we all know it will be an hot album.

Chris Brown, Julianne Hough and Ne-Yo have partnered with Wrigley’s Spearmint gum to put a modern twist on the conventional Wrigley’s gum “jingles” for Doublemint, Juicy Fruit and Big Red gum.
C-Breezy updated the Doublemint jingle; Ne-Yo revamped the “kiss a little longer” slogan for Big Red gum while country star Julianne Hough tackled a song for Juicy Fruit. Commercials for the innovative jingles are expected to start airing some time next month. I can’t wait to hear what they are going to do with these Jingles…
