I am so glad a friend of mine has put me on to Adele. I just can’t get enough of her voice and its hard to believe that this girl is only 19 years old. I guarantee after one listen of her distinctive voice, you will want to hear more.
Critics and music lovers have proclaimed her as the “new Amy Winehouse”, but I believe Adele will make a name for herself.
Prior to being signed, Adele posted her songs on her MySpace page where she gained fans and a lot of attention. Months later she was signed via MySpace.
Adele graduated from from The BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology in London (Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis also attended this performing arts school.) In December 2007 Adele won the first Brit Award for Critics’ Choice Prize. This award is given to new talent who have yet to release an album. Since then, Adele released her debut album in January 2008 and her track “Hometown Glory” has been featured on the hit TV series “Grey’s Anatomy”. Her musical influences include Etta James, Jill Scott, Ella Fitzgerald, Roberta Flack, Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, The Cranberries, Amy Winehouse, and Erykah Badu – just to name a few.

I LOVE THIS GIRL!!! This young Brit is the truth! Love her voice, love her arrangement! She’s definitely gonna take the music world by the horns and ride all the way to the top!
