
The DJ Retreat IX will unite many of today’s hit DJ’s, ground breaking artists, music industry professionals, and innovators for a weekend of networking, performances, new music and celebrations honoring those who bring music to the masses.The Core DJ Retreat acts as a reunion for all DJs by inviting them to join together, no matter what crew/DJ affiliations they have, to network while attending listening sessions, panels and seminars detailing new industry trends. New artists performances will be brought by many of today’s leading labels including Atlantic Records, Def Jam, Warner Brothers, Konvict Muzik, Interscope, J Records, Jive Records, So So Def, Rap-A-Lot Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, Capitol Records, DTP, Grand Hustle, CTE, and others allow for DJ’s and industry professionals to hear and mingle with today’s hottest acts and icons from Hip Hop, Rap and R&B.
The Core is partnering with the newly formed TAG Records. This venture by Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) and Proctor & Gamble (P&G) brings together Hip Hop Culture and urban market with one of the biggest branding and product companies in the world, which is a smart gesture. Taking the helm of this venture will be industry veteran and music mogul Jermaine Dupri.
