MMIM: So who is Don Juan, and can you explain what the importance of integrity, honesty, and reliability means to you as a rapper?
DJ: Don Juan™ is a hard worker with a passion for music. I live it breathe it and bleed it. Honesty, reliability, loyalty all that is very important. I feel as though music is the art of your life and or imagination you must be held accountable for everything you say within your lyrics, so as a rapper I try to keep it as real and truthful as possible.
MMIM: Your bio stated that you were signed to Big Money Records. Are you still on this label, and if not what are you currently doing to promote your music?
DJ: Well I’m no longer under the Big Money label but I have a personal relationship still with each and everyone of them everything in life happens for a reason. I wanted to be further recognized, and not in the shadow of other star celebrities so now I just grind and get things done the best way I know how.
MMIM: You have opened up for artists including Kanye West, Juvenille, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, and Mike Jones to name a few. What was it like opening up for these artists?
DJ: It’s always special. Fans don’t come to see me they come for the headliners so being the under dog is always hard but the outcome of the performances is always overwhelming as humble as I am, as long as I gain 1 or 10 or 1,000 new fans then I feel as though my job requirment have been met.
MMIM: Can you tell us what it was like to be nominated for “Best Video Producer” and “Most Likely to Succeed” at the 2nd Annual DMV Entertainment Music Awards?
DJ: It meant the WORLD to me. I get respected a lot of places and I’ve travel just about all over the world but to get recognition at home is the best feeling ever…I love my city!
MMIM: Loving the songs Ready to Go and Hold You Down. What inspired you to create these tracks, as well as use auto tune in Hold You Down. Can you tell our readers what is keeping Don Juan busy these days?
DJ: Well those 2 songs are what I feel. Men are scared to say to their woman whether it’s because of ego or timing or timid or whatever. I try to put in my song what men should say and what woman would love to hear. Auto tune was just to do it to say I’ve done it (laughs), but nowadays I’m keeping busy in the gym getting my stage performance on point. I’m about to start my tour along with David Banner.
MMIM: You recently performed at Bowie State University. Can you tell us how that
performance went and if it was well received?
DJ: I always loved performing at Bowie State. They show love, but since that was a last minute favor and job. I think it turned out very well.
MMIM: How can our readers reach out to Don Juan?

I LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE ME!!!!
