Damn all the skeezors out there..or as we can em in the Souf E-Z..Good Hope and Naylor…gutterballs…I hear alot of hate concerning Wale…like he’s really from P.G. County…ain’t never was in the streets like that,…whatever…some dudes feeling him…others are’nt…it’s good to see somebody from this area…do it….myself, I was born and raised in Portsmouth, Va like Missy Elliot…she went to New York and blew up..did’nt come back and put on nobody from there…I knew so many talented people..singers, dancers, rappers, and musicians…Pharrell and Chad Hugo are’nt from the Hood but they were put on by Teddy Riley and made a name for themselves before coming back for da Clipse and Fam-Lay…Virginia artists…Mad skills and D’Angelo are from Richmond..Trey Songs is from Petersburg….Chris Brown is from V-A..what part I don’t know…Raheem is from Jersey originally but he went to Howard and the music thang did’nt happen for him until he came to D.C….when I first heard that Wale was hooking up with Mark Ronson…I was happy….the music game is not as easy as it looks….all the chicks, flashy cars, nice clothes, big houses, and jewelry is just imagery..most of these artists scramble to stay out of debt…that is why they got to push as many units as possible…Will Wale succeed where Section 8 Mob, and Nonchalant failed…..not to mention, Go-Go groups like Trouble Funk and EU were poised for mainstream success..then it just faded….DC has the potential to be just as hot as Atlanta….this city has it’s own style..Nike Boots are definitely a part of that .
