Ludacris and Shawna are working on a new album together. It is to be titled “Battle of the Sexes” scheduled to be released summer 2009. I am looking forward to see the product of this union due to Shawna being out of the forefront for a while. However, I must admit that I liked that one single she did back in the day “Getting Some Head.” Let MMIM know your thoughts on this upcoming album.

Good to hear that…Shawnna is nice lyrically…flow wise, she is a beast…I remember her with Concious Daughters..like in 95 and 96…long before DTP…of course, she was on Luda’s 1st single from “Back 4 da First time”…”What’s Your Fantasy”..then she was featured on DTP’s “Golden Grain” album…”Posted”, “RPM”, and there was a single entitled “Shake Dat Shhh”…with Luda on the hook, to me that was a banger but “Getting Some Head” got more airplay and love in the club…Shawnna got a mouth on her but she got skills…unlike Trina or Jackie O….with Remy Ma, Foxy Brown, Eve , and Lil Kim not really doing anything right now…this is a perfect opportunity to lock down the game as a female…DTP got good production, management, and promotion…they made Young Dro, Bobby V, and even Lloyd…relevant..with Luda directly involved, it will be up to her to hustle…should be tight…she had held her own on songs with Twista and Luda…how many chicks can do that?
