Throwback Joint of the Week

For all of those who grew up in the 80’s/ 90’s and appreciate the true essence of hip-hop, here is an ultra throwback from Ms. Dana Owens better known as Queen Latifah with her single “Just Another Day” which is from her 1993 release “Black Reign”. I have memories of being in high school during this Wu-Tang era, but this album was still a heavy-hitter. I think Latifah hit her artistic stride on this album with this song in particular for it exemplified what hip-hop is suppose to be…a banging beat, an awesome story, and a clever display of MC skills. Let MMIM know of any memories this song may have sparked for you.
