I will admit after watching this documentary behind the inspiration of R.Kelly’s album Love Letter, which comes out today I am truly excited about listening to this project. It sounds like Kellz is taking back to old school R&B, which I think we all could use a a dose of in this day and age. Check out this behind the scenes video of the photoshoot for Keri’s upcoming album – No Boys Allowed. Within the interview she discusses the inspiration behind her style.
In this brief interview, Kanye West chats with MTV on how there are a lot of simiarities between his upcoming short film Runaway and his video Flashing Lights. Within the interview Mr. West states:
“I think there’s a lot of similarity in this and Flashing Lights. Flashing Lights is my favorite piece of work that I’ve done. The pacing, people are always like, ‘Where is the rest of it?’ But we didn’t have the time or whatever or the money to do the rest of it. But I might do the rest of it, the beginning and the end. Two years from now, I might give you the whole ‘Flashing Lights’ video, put ‘I Wonder’ in it, ‘Say You Will’ and songs that I feel like doing.”
For those of you that are as anxious to see his upcoming short film for Runaway as I am, it will be premiering on Saturday at 8p.m. on MTV, MTV2 and BET, and will also stream live on MTV.com, BET.com and VH1.com. Following the premiere Kanye will do a live Q&A session on MTV and MTV.com. This man really knows how to create buzz!

This past weekend D.C. was filled with events including the annual Kevin Durant & Wale Celebrity Birthday Weekend. However, before the parties kicked off Wale and Roscoe Dash went to visit D.C Charter school Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy, and gave the students a pleasant surprise with a half-day visit where they spoke to classes, hosted a pep rally, took photos and signed autographs. The other day I was just thinking how I needed a Ryan Leslie fix and I haven’t heard much from him in a while. Well it looks like he has been hard at work in the lab. We all know that whatever Kanye does has to be MAJOR. The video premiere for his lastest single Power will be released on MTV tomorrow and after watching this behind the scenes video I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE IT. The 88 created this video which gives us a glimpse of what Marco Brambilla had in mind when creating this body of work for Mr. West.
