Here is a video called “D.A.N.C.E.” by Justice, an electronic band consisting two Frenchmen. This group is well-known overseas for incorporating a strong rock influence into their music and image. I saw this particular video this morning and I love the creativity they used to display images throughout. Let MMIM know if you also confess to liking this group.
I have heard this song “Allow Me to Introduce Myself…Mr. Right” by this Chicago-based band called The White Tie Affair and I must confess I love their sound for which I feel is a bit different from common pop rock bands. This song debuted along with their album entitled “Walk This Way” which was released in April 2008. The two founding members of this group, Chris Wallace and Sean P, sought a different sound and I feel they have achieved that very well. This song was first posted on their myspace page anonymously and grabbed the attention of several record labels, especially Epic Records/ Slightly Dangerous, which they were to signed to in 2007. In 2009, the band is scheduled to serve as the opening act for Lady GaGa, who will embark on her first solo North American tour “The Fame Ball Tour” in March.
The White Tie Affair’s first fan site, White Tie Affair Fans, opened in January, 2009.
Let MMIM know if you also confess to feeling The White Tie Affair.
I must confess I love Lady GaGa. Her style is unusual yet easy to accept. Her song “Poker Face” is considered to be of an electropop style and is from her debut album “The Fame.” The track was produced by ‘RedOne’ and was released as her second single. I like the song and the video alike. Let MMIM know if you also to confess to liking the video or even the artist herself.
I know Ms. Britney hasn’t really been the favorite in the media lately, but I love her song “Trouble” which is listed as a bonus iTunes track on her latest album “Circus.” The song was produced by The Clutch, which consists of a group of songwriters to include Keri Hilson. I must confess that I am feeling the music arrangement in this song and the vocal direction of Britney Spears. Let MMIM know if you also feel this song.
All I can say is that I LOVE this girl! Duffy is a talented, Grammy-nominated, 24 year-old young lady from the UK. This is one of my favorite songs from this singer/ songwriter called “Stepping Stone” from her album “Rockferry” which made its debut March 2008. I must confess that I absolutely love Duffy for her soulful voice and the feelings she exude when she sings. She has great potential for the R&B genre and look forward to hear more from her. If you have heard of this artist before and can identify with me, share your thoughts with MMIM.
To the music lovers, we all know that not everyone likes the same genre of music at all times, which is why MMIM would like to introduce “Confession.” This is way that we can express our affinity for a song or a genre that may not be considered “popular” to our peers. If you have a confession, you have our virtual venue to use to freely express what song or group you may be feeling that may not even by mainstream. Confessions will be posted on a frequent basis so keep a lookout to see if you come across any you agree with and your comments are welcomed and will be shared.
I must confess that I am feeling this song by the Jonas Brothers called “Goodnight and Goodbye.” This particular genre is not quite my forte, but to hear this song, I must say that it puts me in a good mood for some reason. If there are any other music lovers out there who can identify with me…share your thoughts with MMIM.
