Amerie uses Whodini’s “One Love” to remix her track “Why R U.” I’m loving this track but minus all the guest appearances. Nas or Jadakiss would have been okay for me.

Amerie you are gorgeous, but the real question is why is this your first single and why do all of your songs sound the same? Def Jam is not looking out for you at all. Check out Amerie’s latest video for Why R U and let MMIM know what you think.
It’s been a minute since local DMV artist has released an album. Well Amerie is plotting her return via Def Jam records, with her fourth studio project In Love & War which will be released in August. Her current single “Why R U” can be found below for your listening pleasure and the video will be premiered on June 8th. Billboard has reported that Teddy Riley, Sean Garrett, Eric Hudson, Jim Ronsin, and Rico Love are just a couple of the producers that will be featured on the album.
This chick is coming back STRONG. Amerie did her thang on this track. Check out a “Tell Me You Love Me” and let us know what you think.
Miss Amerie has been busy lately especially after revealing that she is currently recording new music for her upcoming studio album “Break Ups to Make Ups.” She has now signed with Island Def Jam Music Group, and is currently working with Rodney Jerkins, better known as “Darkchild,” and L.A. Reid. The talented Bryan Michael Cox will executively produce the album along with some contributions from Will.I.Am, Bangledesh (love his work), Cool & Dre, Sean Garrett, Dallas Austin, Justice League, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Ernest “No I.D” Wilson, and DJ Toomp. It hasn’t been confirmed if long-time friend and producer Rich Harrison will be working on the album as well, however, she is confirmed to have collaborations with singer Trey Songz. I look forward to this album because with the very limited access to her third album “Because I Love It” I feel Amerie has been incognito for four years. Let MMIM know if you also look forward to Amerie’s upcoming album.
