Check out this black and white visual for Ginuwine’s new single, “What Could Have Been.” His album is set to be released early 2011. I really enjoyed this song and its great to see and hear Ginuwine again. In the video, Ginuwine sings about “What Could Have Been” as he sees his former love take a walk down the aisle. The video stars actress Malinda Williams who looks absolutely gorgeous.

This week’s throwback joint is brought to you by Mr. Lumpkin himself {Ginuwine} with his hit “What’s So Different?” off of his 100% album back in 1999. I still rock this album today and look forward to hearing his new album set to be released tomorrow. Let MMIM know of any memories this song brought to you.
This past weekend MMIM had the pleasure of attending Big Tigger’s 8th Annual Celebrity Classic in Washington,D.C. The purpose of the event is to raise funds and awareness for the HIV/Aids pandemic within D.C. and throughout the United States.
The invite only Welcome Reception & Silent Auction, which was held at Hamilton Crowne Plaza had a great turnout with key political and sports figures in attendance, as well as Tank,Winky Wright, Ginuwine, J. Holiday, Omarosa, and DJ Clue to name a few. The ambiance and atmosphere were amazing, while the lavish buffet was to die for! Invited guests that attended the event had the opportunity to bid on authentic sports memorabilia in an effort to raise needed funds for the Street Corner Foundation.

MMIM was also able to cover the anchor event for Big Tigger’s Weekend – the celebrity basketball game, which was held at the Trinity University Gymnasium. Celebrity coaches included Alesha Renee, Free, Sam Cassell, and Caron Butler. Key basketball players included Tank, DJ Clue, Tigger, comedian Michael Blackson, Antwon Tanner, Wesley Jonathan and Vince Carter who ended up being the game’s MVP.
The game had a great turn out, and although Tigger’s team did not win the game he won in many other ways through his support and continued effort to serve the community.
While Big Tigger has put together a weekend of fun events and parties, it’s important that we always remember the purpose behind these events and that is to raise money, as well as awareness to fight against the Aids crisis that is putting a barrier on our communities. If you missed out on the event this year, MMIM would like to encourage you to definitely attend next year, but most importantly please be sure to go get tested – knowing your status is key.
