Check out John Mayer on the latest issue of Rollingstone Magazine. It’s rare that we see this side of John Mayer. Within the interview he stated this about his break-up with Jennifer Aninston,”I’ve never really gotten over it. It was one of the worst times of my life.”
Check out this interview where John Mayer discusses his upcoming album Battle Studies, which comes out tomorrow. Mayer describes the project as the following:
“This record is as different a record from the last one as I am as different a person as I was from the last one,” Mayer tells Billboard.com. It sort of takes into account everything from my life without focusing on the media. It’s an absolute return to music.”
Check out this new track from John Mayer entitled Half of my Heart. The track features Taylor Swift even though her part is semi small within the song. Half of my Hear will appear Battle Studies, which is slated to be released on Nov 17th.

John Mayer is waiting for the world to change but giving the community a little help along the way!
John Mayer is more than just an artist and song writer. He is a community contributor and a leader who’s craft reflects his beliefs and thoughts on world issues. His latest project he took the stage to benefit VH1s Save The Music Foundation. Furthermore John is doing big things for military families along with Queen Latifah. “They pose with Elmo and Rosita to promote the upcoming PBS primetime special, “Coming Home: Military Families Cope With Change.”
This half-hour HD special tells stories of service members who return home with injuries, visible and invisible, and explores the heroic struggles their families face in discovering a new way of finding a “new normal.” It salutes the extraordinary courage and strength of these military families and offers the general public a powerful glimpse into what they often must endure.
The special will air @ 8PM on PBS on April 1, in conjunction with April as the “Month of the Military Child.”
As far as his music career goes, John Mayer has begun to collaborate more and is branching out to artists outside of his own genre. He is featured on Common’s song “Go!” and on a favorite song of mine, Kanye West’s “Bittersweet Poetry”. These collabos have allowed Mayer to received praise from hip hop legends such as Jay-Z and Nelly. When asked about his presence in the hip hop community (instead of his main genre), Mayer said, “It’s not music out there right now (rock genre). That’s why, to me, hip-hop is where rock used to be.” Mayer is now dating Jenifer Aniston, and the happy couple are supporting each other.
According to Vibe.com, Quincy Jones is currently working on another compilation album. The release date has yet to be determined. However, the album will feature a collaboration from Usher and John Mayer. Back in 1994, Mr. Jones released another compilation album entitled Q’s Juke Joint featuring collaborations with Brandy, Tamia, Stevie Wonder and a variety of other artists.
MMIM looks forward to seeing what this album will bring to the table. Let us know if you are looking forward to this album, as well as what colloborations you hope Mr. Jones includes. I would like to see a colloboration with Ne-Yo, Trey Songz and Chris Breezy.
