Lovely new ballad from Kelly Rowland entitled Forever Is Just A Minute Away. This track will appear on her upcoming album, which is at the present time has only received a release date for Europe. I am assuming that if the album is received well overseas, it will later be released in the U.S.
Dope new video for Kelly Rowland’s second single, Rose Colored Glasses. I am loving the direction she is taking for this new album and wish her much success.
Pop singer Kelly Rowland declared, “I’m that Chick,” the latest single from her forthcoming album, to a crowd of die-hard fans during Walmart’s Soundcheck concert series on August 26th at New York’s Gramercy Theater. But the performance seemed haunted by the ghost of girl groups past, as the former Destiny’s Child star gyrated across the stage in an aquatic cat suit, backed by a crew of male dancers in black utility outfits reminiscent of “Survivor.”

The crowd got a clearer picture of who “that chick” really is with a live performance of the David Guetta-produced “Commander,” an electro-inspired, Euro-pop hit where Ms. Kelly sounds most comfortable. The 45-minute set was peppered with oldies, including her ’02 duet “Dilemma” (minus Nelly’s verses), plus a Destiny’s Child medley, which felt obviously out of place without the vibrato and high-pitched runs of Beyonce.

The audience, an intimate yet enthusiastic crowd, sang along, pumped their fist, and put their lighters up (cell phones) to newer tunes, like “Rose Coloured Glasses,” which closed the show. Notable choreographer, Laurie Ann Gibson (of “boom kat” fame), was spotted critiquing the performance from the sound booth, while other celebs like model Jessica White and Internet sensation B. Scott grooved to the music with the rest of the crowd. Overall, it was a solid effort from Kelly Rowland. The biggest regret–she didn’t perform “Stole.”
