The only nice thing I can say about this performance is that Keyshia looked great. Her vocals weren’t the best and I was not feeling the dancing. Watch her perform “Take Me Away” below and let us know what you think.
Keyshia Cole stopped by Chelsea Handler to discuss her upcoming nuptials and her new baby boy. She also spoke about her newly released album, “Calling All Hearts” in stores now.
Keyshia Cole and Tank collaborate on a track titled “Tired of Doing Me” from Keyshia upcoming album, “Calling all Hearts.” Both Tank and Keyshia sound great on the ballad, still not one of the best that I have heard from the album, but not bad.
Love this new video from Keyshia Cole titled, “Long Way Down.” This is her new single from the forthcoming album, “Calling All Hearts which will be in stores December 14th.
Last night, BET and Centric aired the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards. Despite what everyone says, I do not think it was a bad event. If you could take away the corny skits between Terrance Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the show was quite enjoyable.
R. Kelly opened the show (if you know me, you already know how much I dislike R. Kelly) – but last night, he won me over. He started off with some of his hits from the 90′s and then performed his current single, “When A Woman Loves.”
The tributes to music legends Anita Baker and Ronald Isley were well done. The artists chosen to perform the songs were diverse and beyond talented. Other performers include Erykah Badu, Ne-Yo, Cee-Lo and Jazmine Sullivan.
My only critique about the show is that there were not a lot of awards of given out. I think I only remember seeing three awards announced (other than the tributes). If only Terrance and Taraji skits were cut to see more of the show…
This is the album cover for Keyshia Cole upcoming album, “Calling All Hearts”. Not feeling this artwork at all. The project hits stores on December 21.
Keyshia Cole has a new single from her forthcoming album, titled “Long Way Down”. The project is titled, “Calling All Hearts” and is scheduled to be released this December. Let us know what you think.
This is the new video for Keyshia Cole’s new single, “I Ain’t Thru.” The video features Nicki Minaj as the party in LA. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Last night, BET aired their special “Black Girls Rock.” Hosted by the fabolous Nia Long, the show was a tribute to beautiful and successful black around the world. Not only were women in entertainment recognized but women in government, uniformed services and corporate America. Some of the honorees included Missy Elliot, Rayven-Symone, Teresa Clarke, Iyanala Vanzant and many more. Now you know a award show is not complete without a few performances from some Black Girls who Rocked the stage. Check out performances from Keri Hilson, Fantasia, Monica, Jill Scott and more!
Keyshia Cole is back with her new single, “I Ain’t Thru”. The song features rap’s hottest accessory, Nicki Minaj and will be on her upcoming album. Enjoy!
I can’t remember when I began to watch the BET awards, but out of the many years, this was the best show yet! BET really outdid themselves this year, bringing the viewing audience amazing performances and tributes. Mr. West opened the show with his most talked about single, “Power.” Of course the crowd went crazy; this was Yeezy first award show since the MTV awards incident. There were other memorable performances (some good and some not so good.) B.o.B surprised us and brought out Eminem for the remix of his single, “Airplanes.” He also tried to convince us that Keyshia Cole would do better on the hook than Hayley Williams; I did not become a believer.
Chris Brown did one of the greatest tributes to his mentor, Michael Jackson. When “The Way You Make Me Feel” started to play and the curtains revealed CB, the most highest anticipation had set in. If anyone could do a MJ tribute, there was no question it would be Chris Brown. He could not get through “Man in the Mirror” without breaking down and his emotions were felt throughout the room, including mine! Very emotional tribute and Chris deserved the standing ovation he received from the audience.
Other performances included El Debarge, Tyrese, Diddy w/Dirty Money, Rick Ross, Jeezy, Drake, Kirk Franklin, Marvin Saap, Trey Songz, Monica, Deniece Williams, Usher, Ludacris, J Cole and much more.
Prince received the Lifetime Achievement Award with a tribute by Janelle Monae, Ezperanda Spalding, Alicia Keys and Patti LaBelle.
This is a unreleased track from Keyshia Cole featuring Young Jeezy. I don’t know about you all but it sounds like something I’ve before from Keyshia. Check it out and let us know what you think.
It seems as though Nicki Minaj will be the hottest accessory to a track in 2010. Take a listen below to the remix of Keri Hilson’s “Get Your Money Up” which features Nicki and Keyshia Cole.
This week’s throwback is brought to you by Ms. Keyshia Cole with her hit single “I Just Want It to be over” from her debut album “The Way it is.” Even though she has come a long way since this album, I must admit that I still play this song from time to time. I remember when I made my move up here from the south when this song was in rotation. Let MMIM know if this song brings you any memories.
