Memoirs From Mariah

Lovely songbird Mariah Carey has been working oh so hard in the studio with producers including Jermaine Dupri and The Dream to name a few. Her new album, titled Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is slated to be released in September. Singers Room has reported that the album is said to be “a collection of relatable stories that cater to the woman’s empowerment movement.” I am looking forward to hearing what ballads she belts out for this upcoming project.

Throwback Joint of the Week

This week’s throwback joint is brought to the music lovers by Mrs. Cannon better known as Mariah Carey with her hit single “Fantasy” featuring ODB. I Love this song, especially when it was first released in September 1995 which was during the time I was enjoying the height of my high school days. “Fantasy” always put me in a good, upbeat mood. The Dream and Mariah are on the set of their new video “My love”. Hubby Nick Cannon is directing the video and it seems like he doesn’t have a problem with directing a lot of Mariah’s videos lately. We’ll see how it turns out…love the song by the way. “My Love” will be on The Dream’s sophomore release “Love vs. Money.”

Mariah’s Summer Krush

Mariah Carey helped launch the second annual Samsung AT&T Summer Krush Concert Series.

Carey performed a medley of songs from her latest album “E=MC2”. Songs included “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time”/”Touch My Body,” “I’m That Chick,” “Shake It Off” and “We Belong Together.”

Other artists who are on board with Samsungs AT&T’s Summer Krush Series include: Gavin Rossdale, LeAnn Rimes, Nelly and Nas who are scheduled to appear in various cities across the United States.

Summer Krush is a free summer concert series designed to highlight some of the hottest music artists. The series will visit: Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando, New York, and San Francisco, and will feature a different artist in each city.
