The rumors you have been hearing are true. The Queen, Mary J. Blige has signed on to play Nina Simone in a upcoming biopic.
Variety.com announced yesterday that the movie titled, Nina will begin shooting in September and will focus on Nina Simone’s relationship with her assistant, Clifton Henderson.
I am interested to see how Mary J. Blige will pull off this role. MJB doesn’t have much of a acting career but this will be a challenge. I’m sure with lots of acting classes and practice Mary will surprise us all. Let us know your thoughts on this news.
