Last night MTV aired their 2010 Video Music Awards. Overall, the show which was hosted by one of my favorite people who embodies ignorance Chelsea Handler was pretty good. Mary J. Blige To Play Nina Simone
The rumors you have been hearing are true. The Queen, Mary J. Blige has signed on to play Nina Simone in a upcoming biopic.
Variety.com announced yesterday that the movie titled, Nina will begin shooting in September and will focus on Nina Simone’s relationship with her assistant, Clifton Henderson.
I am interested to see how Mary J. Blige will pull off this role. MJB doesn’t have much of a acting career but this will be a challenge. I’m sure with lots of acting classes and practice Mary will surprise us all. Let us know your thoughts on this news.

This week’s throwback joint is brought to you by Mary J. Blige with her hit single “Rainy Dayz” featuring Ja Rule, taken from her re-released album “No More Drama” back in 2002. Even though the track was originally written for TLC, it was turned down by the group and recorded by MJB and I feel it was a good hence the peak this song made on the Billboard. I definitely remember this song and loved the video, let MMIM know of any memories that may surround this song.
