In honor of Biggie, on March 9th The Radio Killa aka The Dream stopped by a radio station and did sung over a couple of Biggie tracks. Not bad.

This week’s throwback is brought to the Notorious B.I.G. with two of his hit’s “Juicy” and “Sky’s the Limit” featuring 112. Biggie was noted for his clever flow, his dark semiautobiographical lyrics and story telling abilities. During his reign, everywhere you go you would hear a biggie smalls joint, even so in the present after his death March 9, 1997. MTV ranked Biggie at #3 on their list of “The Greatest MCs of All Time.” Due to the attribution of his success and heavy influence on music, in my book, he is noted as a cultural icon.
I was and still am an AVID Biggie Smalls lover and it was hard to decide of one video…so why not bring two… Both of these hits bring great memories. Share yours with MMIM. Make sure to check out the biopic “Notorious” set to be released in theaters January 16th!

Looks like there are some oldies, but goodies on here folks, as well as some new joints including “Go Hard” ft. Jay-Z and Santogold which we posted earlier this week. The soundtrack looks like its going to be a classic, on track 11 featuring CJ (CJ is Biggie’s and Faith’s son), its a duet between father and son. The Jadakiss track (#9) is an actual letter that Jadakiss wrote to Big at the time of his death. I’m really looking forward to picking up this soundtrack as well as seeing the movie.
