For those of you that absolutely loved Quincy’s Jones compilation album Q’s Jook Joint, you will be happy next week on November 9th when he releases Qunicy’s Q Soul Bossa Nostra - another compilation album that will be filled with greatness. The album will feature tracks from Ludacris, Usher, Robin Thicke, LL Cool J, T.I. B.o.B, and a variety of other artists. The album will cover classic tunes from the 1960′s and on his It’s My Party record he pinned Amy Winehouse to the job and boy does she deliver graciously. Hearing this makes me want another album from her ASAP. Hopefully we will hear more from her in 2011.
According to Vibe.com, Quincy Jones is currently working on another compilation album. The release date has yet to be determined. However, the album will feature a collaboration from Usher and John Mayer. Back in 1994, Mr. Jones released another compilation album entitled Q’s Juke Joint featuring collaborations with Brandy, Tamia, Stevie Wonder and a variety of other artists.
MMIM looks forward to seeing what this album will bring to the table. Let us know if you are looking forward to this album, as well as what colloborations you hope Mr. Jones includes. I would like to see a colloboration with Ne-Yo, Trey Songz and Chris Breezy.
