If you haven’t downloaded Raheem DeVaughn mixtape, The Art of Noise, you are sleeping on some great music. Here is a video of two songs from the mixtape, Cocaine Dreams and Club Hop. The video starts off with amazing photography from Jati Lindsay, then Raheem talks more about his current mixtape and the video concludes with “Club Hop”. Raheem Devaughn has created a record label for DMV artists called “368 Music Group.” Along with his partner, Dre, they are currently looking for artists in this area no matter what genre.

Cover This: I Would Die For You
There are not too many people that can cover a Prince classic and get away with it. I have two words for Raheem Devaughn = SIMPLY AMAZING. This was a great cover. He sounds amazing, and much like Prince. I’ll let you guys listen and be the judge.

Raheem DeVaughn Wants to "Bring it Back"
Our man Raheem DeVaughn is back with a new song titled “Bring It Back,” that leaked online few days ago. He is reportedly working on a new album that is expected to be released in 2009. This upcoming year seems to be the year for music with all the anticipated albums announced to arrive. Also in related news, Raheem DeVaughn’s hit song “Customer” was nominated for a Grammy award last week in the ‘Best R&B Song’ category. Raheem will be competing against Jennifer Hudson (”Spotlight”), Jazmine Sullivan (”Bust Your Windows”), Ne-Yo (”Miss Independent”), and Keyshia Cole (”Heaven Sent”). I like what I hear so far, even thought it’s not his norm, but I do look forward to hear what else he may have in store.
