From hearing this song, I’m ready for Raphael Saadiq to release this upcoming project “Rolling Stone” as soon as possible. Watch this intense and gripping visual for his second single “Good Man.” The video stars The Wire’s Chad Coleman and America’s Next Top Model finalist Yaya DaCosta
Check out this in depth video where Raphael Saadiq gives us an update on the inspiration about his upcoming album Stone Rolling. I am a huge fan of Saadiq and I am looking forward to this album. Judging from this video he is going for an old school sound on this album as well, similar to what he did on The Way I See It.
Raphael Saadiq is back at it again. He is gearing up for his fifth studio album “Stone Rolling” that will be released on March 22nd. Sounds like Raphael is doing what worked for his last time on his previous album. The album is said to have ’60′s and ’70′s inspired music. His first single from the album is titled, “Radio.” Check out the visual for the track below; I’m loving it!
Check out the latest video from Mr. Saadiq for Staying In Love. This track can be found on his latest album The Way I See It. I love how each video released for this project has that old school feel. Let MMIM know what you think.

This is backstage footage from a recent show where Raphael Saadiq warms up to Marvin Gaye’s memorable version of the National Anthem. Who could not be inspired by Marvin Gaye? Enjoy!
Raphael Saadiq stopped by the Tom Joyner Morning show recently and they were sure in for a treat. In this initimate setting, Raphael performed some of his hits, “Just Me and You” and “Ask of You”. Even if you can’t watch the video, the audio alone is simply beautiful. You can watch the full video here on Black America Web. I see you Tom…:)
Okay I love this video and this song from the oh so talented Raphael Saadiq! Let’s Take A Walk is innovative and effective because Saadiq takes us back to the 60′s with the simplicity of hosting a video in black and white, yet still providing music that reminds of the past. Let MMIM know what you think.
Check out this performance where Raphael Saadiq opens his show at Blue Note Tokyo with a Michael Jackson Tribute singing “I Want You Back.” He does an amazing job and as always he knows how to become one with the stage with those dance moves. Let MMIM know what you think.
“I think that there’s a lot of feel-good music in the south, but in today’s R&B, you don’t have that real joy to me. Motown made people feel things, and these days, I don’t see the tears, the love or the emotion. Slow dancing is missing for the young kids now, and I want to bring those good feelings back. There’s a place for everything, so I don’t really criticize anybody’s music because I listen to it all, but urban black music is the music that everybody in the world likes, whether they’re black, white, latino, whatever they are. Look at Lil Wayne, that’s as black as you can get, but it’s also the most pop that it could be, because he’s doing himself since the very beginning.”
This week’s throwback joint is brought to you by Mr. Raphael Saadiq with his hit “Get Involved” featuring Q-Tip. This was the jam back in 1999 and it still puts me in a good mood. Q-Tip graced this song perfectly and the melody is still catchy to this day. Let MMIM know what memories this hit may have sparked for you.
Check out Mr. Saadiq’s performance of 100 Yard Dash from Live From Jimmy Kimmel. This man is simply amazing live and I love how he reinvents the oldy but goody sound right in front of our eyes. Let MMIM know your views.
