After an emotional performance yesterday at the Grammy’s and winning Best R&B album, J-Hud is adding head liner to her recent list of accomplisments. Ms. Hudson and Robin Thicke are slated to go on a five week tour that will begin April 2nd in Philadelphia. The tour will conclude in Houston on May 8th. I swear, this lineup is so predictable; every year, its the same artists. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. These artists are doing their thing on the charts and are highly successful. So it would only make sense that they would draw a big crowd like the Essence Music Festival.
Tickets are on sale now, but if you purchase before February 15 you will get a 15% discount, which is good seeing that the cheapest ticket is $130.50. The 3 day festival is July 3-5 and some of the artists to perform are:

In light of election season, as well as all of the many awards shows that have taken place the MMIM staff wanted to host our own awards so that we can highlight artists that may not be getting the recognition that they deserve. Many times at mainstream awards shows we see the same artists constantly getting rewarded, when there are other artists in the game that are just as deserving.

This has got to be one of the “smoothest” songs I have heard in a long time. The video is beautiful, whoever was the director did a great job. And I am loving that piano Robin is playing, very nice.

Some great and most anticipated albums are to be released today in music. The king of the south, TI will release Paper Trail, Jennifer Hudson’s self titled debut, and Robin Thicke’s Something Else will all hit shelves. Which CD have you anticipated the most?
