I don’t care what most of ya’ll say, I like Soulja Boy. And he is coming back for all ya’ll on December 16th. This is “Turn My Swag On” from his next album iSouljaboytellem.

Recently, Soulja Boy talked with MTV on how he planned to step his game up and produce better lyrics, but chose not to in beliefs that it might ruin his reputation and image.

“If I wanted to, [I could] go that route and be respected [not for] my success … respected [for] my music and my lyrics or whatever,” he told MTV. “‘Cause why would I show love to the game? The game don’t show you love back. So I wasn’t gonna do that and come back out and mess up my image and mess up myself. I was going on the strength that I want respect from people who probably don’t like me anyway. So I’m gonna stick to what I do and stay being successful and I’ll do some mixtapes and some features, something like that.”

I have a lot of respect for this young man. We all know when fans purchase a Soulja Boy album, they are not purchasing it for lyrical content. He is an entertainer, and he makes the kids, and the grown adults dance. This boy obviously has the formula for success and whatever works for you Soulja Boy, continue to do it.

Here is another angry Rapper who is unhappy about the current state of Hip Hop. Ice-T touches on how Soulja Boy killed Hip Hop and the “Superman” is some “garbage”. Check out the post I wrote a few weeks ago in regards to the evolution of Hip Hop. I guess Ice T doesn’t have any respect for the change.
