Swagger Like Us R & B Edition

It seems like Diddy wasn’t the only one that was itching to make his own version to “Swagger Like Us”. The track has to be one of the hottest of the year and now everyone wants to put their own spin to it? I thought we were done with that after everybody and their mama did “A Milli”? No disrespect, a lot of those versions were hot but I’m VERY interested to see how this one will go down…

According to BET, T-Pain, Usher, Chris Brown, and Ne-Yo are in the works to create “Swagger Like Us the R and B edition”. Of course, we all know that it will be nothing like the original but what do you guys think? Do they have the right folks on this track? Or should they not even bother?

I bet Ne-Yo or T-Pain were the brains behind this…I just hope a ladies version isn’t next…

T-Wayne Is On Its Way…

I wasn’t sure if they were serious about this but now we know. T-Pain spoke to MTV about the joint album…

“It’s two artists that done collaborated with every artist in the industry except each other. Being that we getting together, this T-Wayne movement is getting crazy….He’s sending me blank tracks, I’m sending him blank tracks, he’s sending me tracks with hooks, I’m sending him tracks with hooks. It’s just our hectic schedules are keeping us from recording. But we both have studios on the bus. So we take that tour bus anywhere we go — it’s a done deal.”

Best Performance of the BET Awards ’08

Okay, so we know that almost everyone had a chance to catch the BET awards last night. Overall, it was a pretty good show (despite the fact that there were a lot of “no-shows”), but some of the performances were the highlights of the night. And some performers, should have never agreed to perform. So here at MMIM, we would like to know who should take the award for Best Performance and Worst Performance of the Night?

T-Pain to Release New Album in September

According to Billboard.com, T-Pain plans to release his third album entitled “Thr33 Rings” on September 30. He will be collaborating with Lil Wayne on the first single, which is called “Snap Yo Fingers.” The single is set to be released next month and the album will be produced by Akon.

T-Pain is doing quite well for himself with five BET award nominations and three songs on the top 100 charts.
