Check out Nicki Minaj on the June/July issue of Vibe Magazine looking like a Barbie doll from outerspace. Enjoy. Do you agree that she is really hip-hop’s new superwoman?
For those of us who grew up reading magazines like ‘Vibe’ and ‘The Source’ were in its prime, there is still hope! It saddened me to hear about ‘Vibe’ going bankrupt and having to shut down the press as a result. I must admit that I wasn’t pleased with witnessing the changes and lack of journalistic integrity in the recent years, but I still would check for our magazines on the stands.
Co-CEO of ‘Uptown’ magazine, Brett Wright, updated his Facebook status and presented some interesting news of a new Vibe.com. Vibe is going blog? The official re-launch isn’t until November 2009. I along with the other ladies of MMIM are avid bloggers due to our strong affinity for it, but I must ask what do you all think about this Blog move for Vibe?
Vibe recently released their choices for hottest songs of 2008. Is it me or am I noticing a trend of the same three artists throughout the majority of this list? Where is Janelle Monae, M.I.A, and Solange? I am also surprised to see that T.I. and Rihanna did not make the list as well.
